Bill Kung is the founder and managing director of Ecovane Environmental, a private knowledge-based consulting company that aims to create and develop sustainable value for its clients. Ecovane, based in Shanghai, works closely with both domestic and international enterprises by providing environmental, health, and safety services, product lifecycle analyses (LCA) services, and energy efficiency consulting services.

In the fields of sustainability management, Kung has led and conducted projects related to carbon management, product/service lifecycle assessment and management, business sustainability reporting, and lifecycle management. His multiple sector experience includes oil and gas, chemical, metal and manufacturing, food, electronics, and paper.

Kung earned a bachelor’s degree in energy engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a master’s degree in eco-technology and sustainable development from Mid Sweden University in Sweden. Kung also conducted post-graduate work at the Swedish Blekinge Technology Institute (BTH) program for Strategic Sustainable Development and Sustainable Engineering.
