Dr. Jun Ma Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, New York Institute of Technology, New York Dr. Jun Ma earned his bachelor’s degree in precision machinery and precision instrumentation from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1985, a master’s degree in biomedical instrumentation from the Shanghai Institute of Biomedical Engineering (Shanghai University) in 1988, and a Ph.D. degree from Columbia University in New York in 1994. Ma joined NYIT as an assistant professor in 1993, was promoted to associate professor in 1997, and was granted tenure in 1998. His expertise is in the application of advanced signal processing technology in system condition monitoring and diagnosis, automation, and dynamic system modeling, and he was among the first to apply wavelet analysis and multispectral analysis in mechanical systems. His broad research and development interests include aerospace manufacturing, the automotive industry, biomedical engineering and medical devices, and the environmental industry. He has been a consultant to many international and U.S. companies in these fields. |
