• For part-time students:
  • Achieve a minimum semester GPA of 3.6 or higher
  • Complete six or more credits (without any incomplete grades)

How do I get on the Presidential Honor List?

• You must be a full-time student
• Achieve a minimum semester GPA of 3.7 or higher
• Complete 12 or more credits (without any incomplete grades)

*Notification of these awards is sent to students, and the appropriate honor is recorded on their transcript.*

What makes me eligible for Phi Eta Sigma (freshman honor society)?

• Achieve a 3.5 GPA in the fall or spring semester of your first year
• Register for, and complete 12 or more credits during that semester
• Be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program

What makes me eligible for the Golden Key International Honour Society?

• Have sophomore, junior, or senior status
• Complete 31 credits (transfer students must have received at least 12 of these credits from NYIT)
• Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.7
