4-3-2-1 Plan
The 4-3-2-1 Plan is designed to keep new students on track both academically and financially. This plan was established to help student graduate in four years, maintain a three (3.0) GPA, dedicate two hours of studying per credit per week, and participate in one internship.
Student Checklists
Don't miss a thing! Checklists are available for all the logistical items that you need to complete in order to enroll, continue, and graduate without any hiccups.
FERPA - Or Talking to Parents and Families About Student Grades
Students who attend college are considered to be adults and are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). With limited exceptions, NYIT staff may not talk to parents about confidential information, including academic and financial records.
SOS Alerts
The SOS system lets faculty and staff provide feedback identifying students that are at risk for poor academic performance. Faculty is encouraged to submit an SOS form for students who would benefit from additional outreach.
