School Leadership & Technology
School leaders in the 21st century must be prepared to articulate a coherent vision and implement effective strategies to ensure quality education for all students.
The School Leadership and Technology program melds technology with all aspects of educational leadership preparation. Our courses and internship experiences will provide you with a solid technical base as well as a conceptual grasp of educational implications of technological developments, enabling you to articulate the integration of technology into K–12 curricula and school practices.
Our 33-credit program, including a 300-hour internship, leads to eligibility and endorsement for two certifications: 1) New York State administrator certification as a School Building Leader and 2) Educational Technology Specialist certification. An emphasis is placed on technology-related staff development and long-range acquisition, maintenance, and use of technology in schools.
Our School District Leadership, Advanced Certificate can be taken as an add-on to the full school leadership program or as a standalone 5-course sequence.
