Staff Associate, Student Solutions (Part-time)

Responsibilities

New York Institute of Technology, Manhattan Campus, seeks a part-time Staff Associate for our Student Solutions Center. The Student Solutions Center is a one-stop resource where students can ask questions, take care of their registration and financial needs, and learn more about all that NYIT has to offer. Primary duties include routing, triaging and tracking incoming student traffic via e-mail, telephone or in person. The staff associate must effectively and efficiently evaluate significance of incoming student issues and assign them to the correct counselor. The staff associate must assist a team or 4-6 counselors in managing student caseloads totaling up to 3600 students. Additional responsibilities include: answering phones and assisting with comprising mass communications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Previous experience working in a higher-level administrative position is also required. Two years experience in a higher education setting is desirable. Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail are a must. Interpersonal skills and strong computer proficiency are necessary.
