Responsibilities
New York Institute of Technology seeks a Director of Experiential Education and Employer Outreach to plan, market, and coordinate activities and programs related to the development of employer relationships. The successful candidate will expand internship and experiential opportunities for students; prepare students for the workplace via one-on-one counseling and/or workshops; arrange employer visits and presentations and enhance delivery of services and programs through the use of technology; develop and maintain relationships with faculty/academic departments which oversee internships; manage the direction and operation of programs serving undergraduate and graduate students; and ensure management of the internship database. The Director will also supervise an Assistant Director, who manages the “On Campus Recruiting” program.
Qualifications
Master's degree required and a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in career education. 2-5 years experience in a college or university, program management or business setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, project management, and computer skills (MS Office) required.
