Responsibilities
NYIT seeks a Systems Analyst, Business Intelligence. Under the direction of the Director of Data Warehouse, the Systems Analyst will assist in the design and implementation of data management and design solutions for ETL and reporting for the College’s Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and Enterprise Reporting Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of advanced database technologies to develop and support data warehouse and data marts using MS SQL Server 2005 BI platforms; programming, testing, and implementing both analytical reporting and/or enterprise reporting, in-house and commercial solutions, using MS SQL 2005 Analysis and Reporting Services; work closely with end-users to create standard and ad-hoc reports using MS SQL Server 2005 BI platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of related experience required. Master’s degree preferred. The successful candidates must have advanced-level SQL skills and experience utilizing a variety of BI and reporting tools such as MS SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Integration Services (SSIS). He/she must also have experience with the following: writing SQL, views, and stored procedures; developing reports using a variety of data source designs (OLTP, ODS, Data Marts, Data Warehouses); creating reporting models and extracting data for end-users; designing and developing ETL routines with Microsoft SQL Server; programming with C#, C++, C, VB, or VBA. Previous experience in a higher education environment is strongly desired. Must be available to work holidays, weekends and evenings.
