Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
At NYIT-Vancouver, graduate students are able to earn a degree issued by NYIT in New York, U.S., through a curriculum that mirrors coursework at NYIT in New York. All courses are taught in English by professors from the New York campuses or by local faculty and professors from New York.
By focusing on the application of modern business theories to problems confronting administrators in the public and private sectors, NYIT’s curriculum is interdisciplinary, integrated, and modern. The program, taken in a time period of 12 to 18 months, emphasizes career-oriented technologies and practices that provide its graduates with an international competitive advantage. The required 36 to 48 credits in the M.B.A. program are:
General Business Administration: 36 to 42 credits
- Core coursework: 27 credits
- Electives: 9 to 12 credits
- Comprehensive Seminar: 3 credits (if oral exam option is not chosen)
Finance: 42 to 48 credits
- Core coursework: 27 credits
- Electives (finance): 15 to 18 credits (at least 15 credits in finance)
- Comprehensive Seminar: 3 credits (if oral exam option is not chosen)
Management of Information Systems (M.I.S.): 42 to 48 credits
- Core coursework: 27 credits
- Electives: 15 to 18 credits (at least 15 credits in M.I.S.)
- Comprehensive Seminar: 3 credits (if oral exam option is not chosen)
Marketing: 42 to 48 credits
- Core coursework: 27 credits
- Electives (marketing): 15 to 18 credits (at least 15 credits in marketing)
- Comprehensive Seminar: 3 credits (if oral exam option is not chosen)
