Event Friends who donate $100 or a prize of equivalent value, receive one admission ticket and a certificate of appreciation.

Camp Adventure was founded in 1990 by professionals and community members who recognized a need for a special camp for Long Island families coping with childhood cancer. The experience helps campers gain independence, build self-confidence, learn new skills, and strengthen bonds with their peers. Camp Adventure takes place in August on Shelter Island, N.Y.

Founded in 2001 by Barbara Piccirillo, NYIT’s assistant professor of physician assistant studies, PASS is a pre-professional organization that stresses the importance of “giving back” to the community. The society honors the academic traditions of medicine, as well as affirms the sound and ethical responsibilities of the physician assistant profession. PASS sponsors several annual community service projects each year, including a holiday toy drive, NYIT’s health fair, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s 5K Race for the Cure. Each year PASS also hosts a benefit supporting a local charity.
