Proceeds from the dinner support the Kaufman Scholarship for alumni-sponsored undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate a commitment to community involvement and volunteerism.
The Alumni Federation will honor four NYIT graduates for their commitment to volunteerism and professional success. Awards will be presented to:

The Brett Kaufman Memorial Alumni Scholarship was established in 1998 by NYIT’s Alumni Federation in memory of its former president, who passed away at a very young age. Kaufman, a 1976 NYIT graduate, served as president of the federation from 1993-96 and was a strong, effective alumni leader and volunteer for more than a decade. In honor of his commitment to the college and community service, the scholarship provides tuition assistance to incoming undergraduate and graduate students who are the children or grandchildren of NYIT graduates.
