New NYIT Facility Unveiled on Jordan Campus

Old Westbury, N.Y., Feb. 8, 2006: New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) recently unveiled a new computer graphics/arts building at its Amman, Jordan, campus to accommodate increased demand for an NYIT education. The new facility houses classrooms, laboratories and studios, as well as exhibition space for student and faculty design and artwork.

“The demand from highly qualified students for an American-style education and a degree from a U.S. institution have prompted this expansion in Jordan,” said John Eckert, NYIT chief administration officer - Middle East.

Unique among colleges, NYIT is the only American educational institution approved to award degrees in Jordan. In addition to its Jordan campus, NYIT offers overseas programs in China, Canada, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates.
