Mission Statement
The Department of Family Medicine at the College of Osteopathic Medicine is committed to the advancement of tomorrow’s health care professionals through an innovative curriculum, community health care centers, and a faculty dedicated to teaching and research involving both traditional and osteopathic treatments. Our department places emphasis on recognizing that human health and illness are directly influenced by biological, psychosocial, cultural, economic, and behavioral factors.
