On November 30, 2010 the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine held the Stanley Schiowitz, D.O., FAAO 7th Annual Case Competition which “illustrates the integration of osteopathic principles and practice into clinical medicine and highlights the synergy between the basic sciences and osteopathic manipulative medicine.”
Wolfgang Gilliar, D.O., Chairman/Professor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and competition host, invited a judging panel to select the top three award winners. Judges included Thomas A. Scandalis, D.O., Dean of NYCOM, Barbara Ross-Lee, D.O., Vice President for Health Sciences and Medical Affairs and Mr. Bruce Leib, Member, NYIT Board of Directors.

1st Place: Cheryl Dinglas, OMSIII “OMT in the L & D”
2nd Place: Danielle Turrin, OMSIV “A Case of Neck Pain in the ER”
3rd Place Tie: Donald Wilson, OMS IV “OMM and the Frustrated Patient”
