This year our NYCOM students and myself will be involved on Saturday, October 29, 2011 with the National Osteopathic Medical Association (NOMA) at a health fair at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission*, during the American Osteopathic Associations National Convention in Florida. This is our seventh national event! |
They are in need of new men’s, women’s and children’s socks, and new tooth brushes.
Starting Monday October 3rd to Wednesday, October 19th you can drop them off at the Serota building in room 217 with Linda or 214 with Erica or Joanna.
Thank you advance for your support!
(*The Orlando Union Rescue Mission was founded in 1948 by a group of Orlando businessmen, and has become one of the largest nonprofit faith-based organizations in the city. Their operating cost is $15,000 a day. The housing facilities provide overnight lodging for men, as well as transitional housing for women, men, and families. Basic services such as food, clothing, and shelter are also provided. However, the primary purpose is to provide ways to rebuild lives emotionally and spiritually.)
