Graduation Requirements

NYIT students are responsible for ensuring that all degree requirements listed in the catalog in effect on the date of their admission/readmission are fulfilled. NYIT faculty will review students' academic records and recommend them for graduation by signing and submitting a degree audit evaluation to the Registrar's Office. See NYIT's Graduation Evaluation Guidelines (PDF) for all information.

Filing for Graduation

All candidates for graduation must apply online through NYITConnect at the beginning of their final semester. Refer to the Academic Calendar for deadline dates to apply. If you are not enrolled in an active academic program, contact the Office of the Registrar.

Ellis College of NYIT students: If you intend to participate in the commencement ceremonies, please submit the Intent to Graduate form by April 1 even if you have courses remaining after this date.
