Office of the Registrar

Welcome to the Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for:

  • maintaining accurate and complete academic records of current and former students and releasing this information when appropriate and in compliance with federal and state laws
  • providing services that assist students in achieving educational objectives
  • utilizing technology to make services convenient, reliable, and secure
  • preparing and publishing class and final exam schedules; managing utilization of classrooms; scheduling and implementing registration; providing official transcripts, enrollment, and graduation verifications; certifying graduation records; maintaining records archive; collecting and compiling grades and attendance data; supporting faculty needs; and certifying students for benefits
  • providing current and historical data to NYIT administration and faculty to support planning and research initiatives

  • Academic Advisement and Registration for Spring and Cycle D 2012 is currently going on

  • Spring semester and Cycle C classes began Jan. 23, 2012. Cycle D classes begin Mar. 15, 2012. There is still time to register for Cycle D. 
  • Last day of the add/drop period is Feb. 5, 2012. College is closed on Feb. 5, however, online services are available 24/7 on NYITConnect
  • Withdrawal period begins Monday, Feb. 6, 2012
  • Grade changes for Incomplete grades earned in Cycle A 2011 must be submitted by Mar. 14, 2012, to avoid having the Incomplete grade changed to an IF grade 
  • Last day to apply for May 2012 graduation is Mar. 23, 2012. Students must apply online at NYITConnect.
