Undergraduate Programs

The nature of the economy and the increasing complexity of the business world make sophisticated training vital to all spheres of endeavor within this career area. Productive members of the business community must combine specific skills with a broad understanding of the environments of business and industry and understand how technology has transformed business operation.

The School of Management undergraduate programs aim to provide a foundation across the a spectrum of business-related academic disciplines and focus on varying overall aims for our students:

  1. The Associate of Applied Arts (AAS) degree, a two year degree program, and available either in Accoutning or Business Administration, caters primarily to high school graduates who wish to explore the college environment, perhaps with the intent of pursuing a four year degree; this degree program is offered in both business administration and accounting;
  2. The Bachelor of Science degree (BS), a four year degree program in Business Administration, provides a focused approach include a balance of liberal arts, technological knowledge, math and computer oriented skills, and practical skills needed for a particular discipline within the field; the derriere prepares students to either advance their studies in a graduate program or jump start their career immediately upon graduation; this degree program is offered across a number of majors, including accounting, finance, human resource management, international business, management, marketing, and small business and entrepreneurial studies
  3. The Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) four-year degree program in Hospitality Management, is a focused and highly career oriented degree for those students interested in entering any of the wide array of disciplines within the hospitality management service sector, with less exposure to the liberal arts and greater exposure to career-based coursework in the discipline.

Finally, students may pursue minors in select areas of study to add additional value to their credentials, upon graduation!
