The School of Management supports the ongoing development and maintenance of student clubs for the purpose of increasing students' interaction with their peers, faculty members, guest speakers and other community and business professionals. These clubs promote team building, support numerous group activities, and offer students ways to develop friendships and share in ongoing student-to-stakeholder interaction.
Moreover, the dedicated effort to establish officers for each club provide students with additional opportunities to develop their leadership skills, while adding value to the club and simultaneously strengthening the student portfolio of outcomes that can be discussed with employers when considering job opportunities.
Active membership in a club or an association will typically earn one Student Advancement point annually if the student has played an active role in the leadership or advancement of the club/association. Leadership/advancement must be documented with a written testimonial of the club or association faculty or staff liaison or director. Students may also submit documentation for similar experieinces in clubs that are not in the School of Management.
