The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Learning System provides students with pertinent, cutting-edge knowledge that is directly applicable to establishing and maintaining a distinguished and successful career.
While the course's primary focus is to prepare individuals for the CMA exam, it is also a valuable academic and professional development program that will help professionals and students advance their skills in accounting, finance, and business management.
The CMA designation, which is granted by the Institute of Management Accountants (CMA), is an objective measure of knowledge and competence in the field of management accounting. It is an invaluable credential for professional advancement and for broadening professional skills and perspective. According to recent industry research, a certified professional earns approximately 25 percent more than a non-certified professional.
The CMA exam includes topics such as economics, business finance, situational analysis, and decision making, with a strong emphasis on ethics. The IMA's CMA Learning system offers customized learning experience in management accounting in 2 courses mirroring the 2 exam parts.
The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA®) has changed the content of the Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) certification exam to ensure that current topics are appropriately updated and relevant to business practice. The ICMA believes that this new exam will more closely align with the knowledge, skills and abilities that an accountant or financial professional uses on the job today. The skills critical to the success of financial professionals in business are financial planning, analysis, control and decision support.
The certification review classes that IMA are offering is as follows. They can be taken in any sequence.
Part 1 (XMGT-032): Financial Planning, Performance and Control
Part 2 (XMGT-033): Financial Decision Making
Each course offers a unique online self-assessment readiness tool and combines printed study materials with online, interactive testing and part-specific classroom sessions to deliver a comprehensive and customized learning experience in management accounting.
Through these courses, the student will learn the fundamental concepts and practices of management accounting and develop the analytical and test-taking skills for the CMA exams.
