Executive MBA

In order to meet China's need for modern international management, NYIT offers Executive M.B.A. (E.M.B.A.) programs to senior Chinese business managers in partnership with Tsinghua University (清华大学)Jinan University (暨南大学), and Renmin University of China (中国人民大学). China in New York.program, the student from Tsinghua University will receive an E.M.B.A. degree from NYIT and a Business Administration Certificate from the Institute of Tsinghua University; the student from Jinan University will receive an E.M.B.A. degree from NYIT and Business Administration Certificate from School of Economics, Jinan University; the student from Renmin University of China will receive an E.M.B.A. degree from NYIT and Business Administration Certificate from Renmin University of China. 

The program consists of two phases:

  • Phase I: Students take 18 foundation course credits in China.
  • Phase II: Students take 18 credits of E.M.B.A. courses at NYIT's campus in Manhattan.

The E.M.B.A. program, offered through international collaboration and resource integration, is cohort-based, emphasizes practice-orientation, features an intensive lecture format, and is scheduled to minimize the interruption of work.

Interested students first apply for the Tsinghua, Jinan or Renmin business certificate program. After acceptance, start their courses with the current cohort class. It takes approximately 10 months to complete the Phase I (six three-credit E.M.B.A. courses). Additional seminars are also offered. Classes generally meet six times, once every one-and-half months. All course and seminar lectures are given by distinguished scholars in the field.

Those who successfully complete Phase I and are accepted by NYIT's E.M.B.A. program pursue Phase II at NYIT's campus and complete six three-credit E.M.B.A. All courses are taught by NYIT faculty members and senior executives with practical experience. In addition to in-class learning, students have experiential learning opportunities via various extracurricular activities including visits to Wall Street, interactions with the executives of Fortune 500 companies, cultural and social experiences, and other events.
