The Solar Decathlon is an opportunity for School of Management students to participate in a national competition on designing, building, and operating an energy-efficient solar-powered house. Contributions include marketing, management, planning, and other research components of this project.

BUSI403: Solar Decathlon

  • Prerequisite: MGMT 200 & MRKT 200; permission of the Dean
  • Credits: 3

This is a course that offers an experiential learning opportunity for students to identify, integrate, and apply their relevant business knowledge in the NYIT Solar Decathlon program sponsored by the Department of Energy. NYIT Students will be expected to work closely with students from other disciplines in addition to other business students, and will learn to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty, as well as to take the initiative for action as it is needed.
