Internship Certificate Program - Orientation I

Intern in Costa Rica

INTERN ABROAD IN COSTA RICA

On the Intern in Costa Rica program, students participate in a twelve week program, beginning with four weeks of Spanish language front loaded into the program, so you easily catch up to the language of the locals. As an Intern in Costa Rica participant, you’ll be able to earn credit for your Spanish language course.

While CISabroad works closely with NYIT, you will need to apply and pay all program fees directly to CISabroad. While we can assist in the search for your ideal programs, it is important that you are aware of how the experience will fulfill credits back at NYIT. If you have any questions about this process, please contact tnicholson@cisabroad.com

A few highlights of this program include:
• Strong language classes – Learn in a more immersive environment than you ever thought possible!
• Custom internship in Costa Rica – Gain practical experience in an internship selected for you from a diverse array of fields. Get a leg up in the job market!
• An astounding country – Great excursions are included with your program. Take a city tour with your fellow students, wander through the local markets, and try some exotic tropical fruit as you explore the rain forest!
• Idyllic setting – You’ll be just minutes from the heart of the capital of Costa Rica, and you will get to explore both the city and the beautiful national parks, picturesque mountain villages, and relaxed beach towns found nearby.
• Fun outside the classroom – Universidad Veritas has weekly dance classes, intramural sports, martial arts classes, Costa Rican cooking classes, religious organizations, volunteer opportunities, and more.

Internships are customized based on your field of interest and resume. The following are fields in which previous interns have been placed:
