International YMCA Practicum Project

The International YMCA provides an opportunity for students to develop a comprehensive marketing plan which would teach them to learn and take into consideration the 4 P’s of marketing, current market dispersion, and the current global climate. The plan developed by students at the end of the project will be used by the International YMCA to help re-chart the resources deployed to ensure the effective, efficient, and appealing marketing of all programs provided.

VIP Program

Vocational Independence Program Marketing Project

The Vocational Independence Program is a college program at NYIT for students that have significant learning disabilities, acute autism, and/or spectrum disorders. The goal is to provide the students with the skills and training to live successful and independent lives. For this program, students restructured marketing plans to better promote the program and spread awareness.

Social Networking for Discover Long Island

Using Social Networking channels such as Facebook and Twitter as their main tools, students had to create a marketing plan to advertise and promote tourism in Long Island.

A primary goal of Experiential Education platform is to provide support and assistance to departments, and individual faculty members seeking to integrate service-learning into their existing courses or create a new practicum course. The course with embedded Service Learning activity would be cross listed under course number 340“in -action course”, while practicum courses would carry "480" course number (e.g. MRKTE480, MGMTE480, ECONE480...etc.)or BUSIE702 (Graduate).  As any other

Experiential Education activity, Service Learning is counted for the students as experiential education activity, which is required in partial fulfillment of degree requirements.
