Carlos Del Cid (B.S. ’97) finished the 2010 season with a career record of 107-56-21.
Carlos Del Cid (B.S. ’97) is the first NYIT men’s soccer coach to reach the 100-win plateau. The Bears earned the victory in a 2-1 overtime game against American International University on Sept. 11, 2010. Junior Farah Toure scored the game-winning goal for NYIT in the 98th minute. Del Cid finished the 2010 season with a career record of 107- 56-21.
First-year goalkeeper Michael Doran and midfielder Vinny Caccavale received East Coast Conference (ECC) Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively. Doran earned the honor on Oct. 5 after earning his first two collegiate wins and shutouts. Caccavale’s accolade came on Oct. 11 after he scored his first collegiate goal against the University of Bridgeport. The Bears finished the 2010 season with an 8-8-1 record and were 2-5 in ECC play.
