Educators, energy experts, and government officials gathered for a global energy forum co-hosted by NYIT and its educational partner in China, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NUPT). The “Think Green: Energy, Education, Environmental Initiatives” conference, held in Nanjing on April 7-9, explored topics ranging from carbon sequestration to green technology and architecture to the importance of partnerships in promoting sustainable innovation, investments, and education. The forum attracted the attention of prominent Chinese media, including the China Daily News, as well as global news outlets.
Speakers included Lady Barbara Thomas Judge, chair of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority; Yun Le, general manager for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo Project; Martin Schoenbauer, executive director of the U.S. Department of Energy in China; Zhang Xinsheng, former vice minister of the Education Ministry of China; NYIT President Edward Guiliano; and NUPT President Yang Zhen.
