New VP Oversees Alumni and Fundraising Efforts

Cynthia Boehlke has joined NYIT as vice president for development, bringing with her 20 years of fundraising experience at various nonprofit organizations and institutes of higher learning. She will oversee the college’s fundraising, alumni relations, and foundation and corporate outreach efforts.

Specifically, Boehlke says she hopes to cultivate a strong connection with NYIT graduates and, through their contributions, help strengthen the college’s scholarships, programs, and facilities.

“Alumni have the power and the potential to build a better NYIT for future generations and enhance the value of their own degrees,” she says. “Every graduate can make a difference through gift-giving.”

Boehlke earned a bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College in Allen-town, Penn., and  a master’s degree from the University of Warwick in Coventry, England. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
