The dinner of champions

To honor the men’s lacrosse team for capturing the National Collegiate Athletic Conference (NCAA) Division II championship, President Guiliano hosted a special dinner at the de Seversky Center, Old Westbury campus. More than 100 coaches and family members joined the student athletes, who defeated Limestone College in a thrilling 14-13 overtime win to capture the Bears’ second NCAA championship in three years. The team also continued its dominance of the NYCAC league by winning its fourth consecutive conference championship in 2005.
