Back On Court
Women's volleyball is off to an 9-12 record but hopes to make a late-season run at the playoffs. Senior Caterina Crispino (NYCAC First-Team All-Conference in 2001) and sophomore Burcu Hakyamez, last year's NYCAC Rookie of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference honoree, are leading the late-season charge.

Storming the Net
Women's soccer recruited eight new team members to strengthen its lineup. Returning stars include senior co-captain Renee Candito (8 goals, 2 assists last year) and junior co-captain Erin O'Hare (8 goals, 4 assists in 2001). The team is off to a 5-6-2 start.

Setting High Goals
Men's soccer has raced to a 9-2-1 start, building on last year's surprising 11-5-1 record. The team has 10 new players and several returning stars, including senior Steffan Persson (Second-Team All-Conference in 2001) and junior Leonardo Braz (also a Second-Team All-Conference selection last year). Sophomore Manuel Brindis, last year's NYCAC Rookie of the Year, heads the list of young, but talented midfielders. Brindis also was a Second-Team All-Conference member and an NCSAA-Adidas All-Northeast Region Team member. The team's season wraps up Nov. 9 with an away match vs. division rival Dowling College.
