Halloween Party Attend a costume party tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Gym at NYIT-Old Westbury. Cost is $10. Proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Purchase tickets at the Athletics Office, Student Activity Center, room 2R.

Blood Drive The College of Osteopathic Medicine is having a blood drive on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Look for the Long Island Blood Services bus mobile in the South Parking Lot at NYIT-Old Westbury. Entrepreneurship Seminar Series You're invited to a presentation by Zev Asch, president of Ledaza Inc., on Thursday, Nov. 7, 12:45-2 p.m. in Manhattan (Edward Guiliano Global Center, rooms 702 and 704) and Old Westbury (Harry Schure Hall, room 227 and distance learning room 1). The series is part of NYIT's "Entrepreneurship Path for Undergraduate Students: Turning Ideas into Companies" program, launched by the School of Engineering and Computing Sciences in coordination with the School of Management and with support from the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance. The program provides students with the skills, tools, and roadmap to successfully translate their ideas and research into commercially valuable innovations and/or companies.

STEAM Fair If you're majoring in science, technology, engineering, architecture, and math (STEAM) subjects, attend a career fair on Thursday, Nov. 7, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the Sports Complex, Old Westbury campus.

Career Services Dean’s Workshop Series Join John Hyde, dean of NYIT Career Services, for the two-part workshop series, "From Working the Room to Shaping Your Career: Network Your Way to Professional Success." The first session will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 in Old Westbury (Salten Hall, room 3), and Tuesday, Nov. 12 in Manhattan (16 W. 61st St., 11th floor auditorium). Island Harvest Fundraiser Donate food to help those in need, Nov. 7-21. Look for the Island Harvest food boxes in Salten and Harry Schure Halls. There will be a gathering on Thursday, Nov. 21 with more opportunities to make donations, 12:45-2:10 p.m. in the Student Activity Center cafeteria, NYIT-Old Westbury.

App Event The Campus Slate will debut the student newspaper's iOS launch of its mobile app on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 12:45-2 p.m. at the Hall of Fame, Old Westbury campus. There will be free food and prizes, including an iPad and gift cards for Moe's Southwest Grill.

You Give Goods NYIT is partnering with You Give Goods to help City Harvest and Island Harvest secure food for New York City and Long Island communities by Saturday, Nov. 30—and it’s all done online! No need to carry pounds of food on the train or from your car to campus. Please donate what you can, and encourage friends and colleagues to do the same. The goal is to raise $2,500 each for City Harvest and Island Harvest. Support an existing NYIT team or email rmanni01@nyit.edu to create your own. The winning team receives a prize. Make a donation.

Cut 'n' Paste: From Architectural Assemblage to Collage City Architectural renderings created for NYIT's design of a recycling center in Costa Rica will be included in an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art through Sunday, Dec. 1 at 11 W. 53 St., New York City. Read more.
