Mexico and Belize Trip Tour Mayan archeological sites with NYIT's Vocational Independence Program, Jan. 2-11, 2014. Fright Fest Get spooked with the Student Government Association at NYIT-Manhattan on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Six Flags Great Adventure, 1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson, N.J. Yoga and Pilates Classes Get fit with free yoga and pilates classes hosted by NYIT Athletics on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:45-1:45 p.m. in Recreation Hall, Old Westbury campus. Bring your own mat (at least a half-inch thick), towel, and water bottle, and dress in workout gear, not street clothing.
Benjamin J. Cecil 5K Walk for Independence Join the NYIT Vocational Independence Program for its annual walk to support a scholarship in memory of former student Benjamin J. Cecil on Saturday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m. at 300 Carleton Ave., Independence Hall, Central Islip, N.Y. Cost is $25. The 5K path is handicap accessible, and refreshments will be served during the walk.
