Internship Certificate Program - Orientation I Learn how to get an internship and develop your professional skills on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 12:45-1:45 p.m. in Old Westbury (Salten Hall, room 3) and Manhattan (26 W. 61 St., second floor).
Yoga and Pilates Classes Get fit with free yoga and pilates classes hosted by NYIT Athletics on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:45-1:45 p.m. in Recreation Hall, Old Westbury campus. Classes begin on Thursday, Sept. 12. Bring your own mat (at least a half-inch thick), towel, and water bottle, and dress in workout gear, not street clothing.
Wake Up, You’re a Senior! This event hosted by NYIT Career Services will prepare you for senior year at NYIT on Thursday, Sept. 12, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Old Westbury (Academic Quad) and Manhattan (Edward Guiliano Global Center, 1855 Broadway, first-floor lobby).

Benjamin J. Cecil 5K Walk for Independence Join the NYIT Vocational Independence Program for its annual walk to support a scholarship in memory of former student Benjamin J. Cecil on Saturday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m. at 300 Carleton Ave., Independence Hall, Central Islip, N.Y. Cost is $25. The 5K path is handicap accessible, and refreshments will be served during the walk. Doo Wop Fundraiser Attend a Doo Wop concert for a cause on Sunday, Oct. 6, 3-5:30 p.m. in Riland Auditorium, Old Westbury campus. Cost is $25 per person.
