Paper Chase Exhibit Visit NYIT's "Paper Chase" exhibit featuring artwork by Viviane Rombaldi Seppey and Pauline Galiana, through Thursday, April 11 at NYIT Gallery 61, 16 W. 61st St., 11th floor auditorium, Manhattan campus. An Evening with the Entrepreneurs The NYIT School of Management and the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies invites students and their guests to an open discussion by alumni entrepreneurs on Thursday, March 7, 6-9:30 p.m. at 16 W. 61st St., 11th floor, NYIT-Manhattan. The event, "An Evening with the Entrepreneurs: A Networking and Learning Opportunity," will include presentations, a Q&A session, and a buffet dinner. Read more.
Free Yoga NYIT Athletics invites all faculty and staff members to attend free evening yoga classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the Bears Den, Old Westbury campus. UN Women for Peace Join a march to end violence against women on Friday, March 8, 12:30 p.m. at the United Nations Headquarters (1st Avenue and 46th Street) in New York City. There will be celebrity and dignitary speakers making presentations at 1 pm at Dag Hammarskjold Park (833 1st Ave.), including Malala Yousafzai, Kelly Rutherford, Monique Coleman, and others. St. Baldrick's Cancer Fundraisers Join NYIT medical students and St. Baldrick's Foundation for two events to raise money for childhood cancer on Friday, March 8, 6 p.m. at 16 W. 61st St., 11th floor auditorium, Manhattan campus, and Sunday, March 17, noon at The Downtown Café, 4 School St., Glen Cove, N.Y. Cross-Cultural Communication Workshop The NYIT Professional Enrichment Program presents a workshop for students from all majors on Tuesday, March 12, 12:30-2 p.m. at the Manhattan campus (Edward Guiliano Global Center, 1855 Broadway, room 708) and Vancouver campus. The workshop moderated by Jasjit Rai at NYIT-Vancouver is designed to expand awareness, develop skills, and build confidence in students looking to become effective communicators when studying or working abroad.

Employee Survey Research Applications Join the NYIT Professional Enrichment Program for a seminar for students from all majors on Wednesday, March 13, 6-7:30 p.m. at 26 W. 61st St., room 312, Manhattan campus. The guest speaker is Daniel Baitch, director of surveys and analytics for Prudential Financial. He will discuss how survey research can help organizations align people with strategic objectives, while helping to monitor and improve employee engagement, team performance, leadership, and organizational culture.
Webinar Training in Computstat Attend a webinar presented by the NYIT Professional Enrichment Program on Thursday, March 14, 12:30-2 p.m. in Old Westbury (500 Building, School of Management computer lab) and Manhattan (26 W. 61st St., room 504). Howard Bernheim of Standard and Poor's is the guest speaker. He will offer introductory training on the use of the Compustat database, which provides financial and marketing information for U.S. and global companies. Students will learn to use Compustat as an analytical tool and for the completion of class assignments.

Safety Conference NYIT will host this year’s American Society of Safety Engineers Professional Development Conference on Wednesday, March 20, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Salten Hall, Old Westbury campus. The event will feature a keynote address by Anthony Ciuffo, area director of the Long Island office of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Cost is $40 per student. Purple Palooza Challenge Join the Community Service Center (CSC) at NYIT-Old Westbury for a high-stakes competition and the opportunity to win prizes and support cancer research on Tuesday, April 2, 12:30-1:50 p.m. in the Academic Quad, Old Westbury campus. Sign up in teams of two for $5 per person or sign up individually and get a partner on the day of the event. All proceeds will benefit the CSC's Relay for Life fundraising effort. 3rd Annual Relay for Lunch Help support NYIT's Relay for Life and the Student Government Association to raise much-needed funds toward their $50K goal on Thursday, April 4, 12:30 p.m. in the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, Old Westbury campus. The buffet luncheon is donated by NYIT Dining Services. Cost is a $25 minimum donation. Payments will be accepted at the door; make checks payable to the American Cancer Society.
