What have you been up to during the fall 2013 semester? Check out photos of students at recent NYIT events, including a tour of Citi Field baseball stadium, a black-and-white party at the Midtown Loft and Terrace, Pride Day, and a Global Expo.
The Society of Hosteurs (SOH) at NYIT-Old Westbury toured Citi Field in Queens, N.Y., home of the New York Mets baseball team, on Sept. 27. Students learned about the stadium's food and beverage operations, which serve up to 45,000 guests per event and offer some of the best quality in the United States. Students who helped to organize the event included SOH president Samantha Mollica and club member, Emily Stepancic, who works as a suite supervisor for Aramark, the food services company for Citi Field.
The Student Government Association hosted a Welcome Back Party for freshmen and returning students to kick off the 2013-2014 academic year on Sept. 27 at the Midtown Loft and Terrace in New York City. The theme was a black-and-white formal.
Students showed off what they love about NYIT at Pride Day on Sept. 24 at the Manhattan campus.
The NYIT Bear and students sowed seeds for a community garden on Sept. 24 at NYIT-Old Westbury. Read more.
