Congratulations to Erik Cabrera, a first-year student majoring in computer science, who is the winner of an iPad mini for completing the 2013 Student Life Satisfaction Survey conducted by the Student Government Association (SGA) at NYIT-Old Westbury. He was randomly selected to receive the prize on April 22.
SGA President Robert Hammarberg put together the 32-question student satisfaction survey to gather feedback on improving the Old Westbury campus. Survey topics ranged from an assessment of student pride and SGA satisfaction, to event participation and faculty connectivity. The survey was open for two weeks and completed by 777 of the 3,443 students who received it at NYIT-Old Westbury.
Hammarberg, who will graduate in May 2013, has already begun to sift through the data and prepare it for the next SGA president. He thanks everyone who participated and encourages them to take the survey again next year.
