The United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) is looking for engaged NYIT students to participate in its annual youth forum at the United Nations in New York City on March 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The theme of this year’s event is “Shaping Tomorrow’s Innovators: Leveraging Science, Technology, Innovation and Culture for Today’s Youth.”
In addition to opening and plenary sessions, three moderated dialogue sessions will focus on creating opportunity for girls and young women; youth: an engine for creative economy; and creating buzz: using social media to make ideas happen. Students from all majors are invited and should be interested in the subject matter and prepared to interact with other participants. Outcomes of the discussions will be shared with UN ECOSOC members. Share your knowledge and opinions with the world!
Space is limited to the first 50 students. R.S.V.P. as soon as possible:
Note: All students attending must bring photo ID and pass through the United Nations security screening one hour prior to the event. More information can be found on the UN ECOSOC web site.
