NYIT Graduates Present Research at AAPA Conference

Congratulations to graduates of NYIT's physician assistant (PA) studies program who presented research at the American Academy of Physician Assistants Conference, May 25-29 in Washington, D.C. The conference was attended by nearly 8,000 health professionals from across the world. NYIT participants included:

  • Allyson Stein (M.S. '13), Julianne Clark (M.S. '13), and their mentor/faculty advisor Frank Acevedo, assistant professor of PA studies, who presented "Survey of Medical Application Use by New York State Physician Assistants."
  • Christopher Funfgeld (M.S. '13) and his mentor/faculty advisor David Jackson, D.H.Sc., adjunct professor of PA studies, who presented the poster, "Human Papillomavirus Vaccine: Perceived Barriers Influencing Parents' Decisions to Vaccinate their Sons." Read more.
