More than 50 students from around the world enjoyed a taste of turkey and all the trimmings at a Thanksgiving luncheon on Nov. 21 hosted by NYIT's Office of International Education. Barbara Multari, director of the Office of International Education, welcomed them with a few thoughts on what the longstanding tradition represents to many Americans. Yvonne Harrison, associate director of career services, followed by highlighting the history of how Thanksgiving became a uniquely American holiday. Then it was time to eat!
The luncheon was part of International Education Week, which also included a three-day Fair Trade Festival and the "No Ordinary Journey" student essay contest.
