NYIT Celebrates Black History Month at Film Screening

An Emmy-nominated film written by adjunct professor Lynn Rogoff brought together students for Black History Month on Feb. 25 at a screening of No Maps on My Taps. The documentary film was first released in 1979 to critical acclaim for its portrayal of black tap dancers' contributions to American history.

The event, "An Evening with the Entrepreneurs: A Networking and Learning Opportunity," will be hosted by the NYIT School of Management and the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and includes presentations, a Q&A session, and a buffet dinner. Apply for a Women in Science Scholarship

The Brookhaven National Laboratory offers scholarships for women in science, including the Renate W. Chasman Scholarship, a one-time award of $2,000. Applicants must be women returning to college after a break in their education and pursuing a degree in the natural sciences, engineering, or mathematics at the junior or senior undergraduate level, or as first-year graduate students at an accredited institution.
