Meet Fadi Shamash Mickael Fadi Shamash Mickael's path to NYIT began in Iraq, where he worked with and found a mentor in NYIT Chief of Staff Peter C. Kinney III, who served there in his last job with U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. International Students Celebrate Thanksgiving

In celebration of International Education Week, on Nov. 21, NYIT's Office of International Education hosted its annual Thanksgiving luncheon—turkey and all the trimmings. More than 50 students students enjoyed a "taste" of the longstanding American tradition. Barbara Multari, director, office of international education, welcomed them with a few thoughts on what Thanksgiving represents to many Americans. Yvonne Harrison, associate director of career services, followed by highlighting the history of how Thanksgiving became a uniquely American holiday.
