NYIT's Vocational Independence Program (VIP) hosted a Thanksgiving luncheon during which staff members from the departments of security, facilities, and food services were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the VIP community in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and received complimentary t-shirts. Pictured are VIP students at the luncheon. The event is part of VIP's Dare to Care Campaign, a campus-wide program promoting respect as a cornerstone value of life. It is a positive way to address bullying prevention by reminding staff and students that "kindness matters" by acknowledging those who act on these values.
