My mother, Patricia Ortmann (M.S. '05), is actually a graduate, and I always planned on going to NYIT for architecture until I changed my major to criminal justice.
Surviving leukemia and playing lacrosse again after losing all of my muscle. I went through all the bad side-effects from chemotherapy and was told that I had one month to live. I beat cancer by staying strong and having amazing friends.
