Why study at NYIT?
There are students, staff, and faculty from all walks of life. NYIT's tight-knit community creates a great learning environment.
NYIT has provided me with many experiences and a place for growth. My favorite experience thus far is being elected SGA president. It's an opportunity for me to put my leadership skills to the test. I am always intrigued by ways to help make the NYIT experience a memorable one for others.
Walking around campus every day, there are always a few students who are unhappy with their college experience. I will encourage them to speak out about their problems so I can help make a difference and strengthen our community. I will also encourage people to get more involved in campus life by joining clubs and organizations. This is the ideal way to make lifelong friends and network with others. I am honored to be SGA president and am here to make a change!
Become an environmental engineer and manage my own engineering firm.
They range from outdoor activities such as swimming, paintballing and running, to staying inside and reading a good book or watching a movie.
Swimming is one of my passions. I have been swimming since age 5. It keeps me fit and relieves stress.
Advice to incoming freshmen
Get involved in everything and anything on campus. It is the best way to make friends. There is so much to learn about others. A simple "hello" can make a stranger become your new best friend.
