Why study at NYIT?
I chose NYIT because of its combined B.S. in Life Sciences/M.S. in Occupational Therapy program, as well as its small class sizes and beautiful campus.
My dream career is to be an occupational therapist in an elementary school after I graduate from NYIT. My NYIT education is preparing me for the work that I will be doing on a daily basis once I’m out in the world as an occupational therapist.
Favorite NYIT Experience Working an Info Session in September with the Student Ambassadors. It felt great to speak to prospective students. I was able to connect with them personally because I was just recently in their shoes. I also spoke about the fun events in the quad, free hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and multiple services which help freshmen transition into college life.
My NYIT Education, new friends, and new experiences.
I enjoy running, reading, relaxing with friends and family, and working in the special education department of an elementary school.
When I first joined NYIT, I couldn't wait to...
Meet new people. It's so easy to make friends because the small, intimate class sizes and events at NYIT, especially during free hour. The coolest thing about NYIT is the international students. I’m a people person, so I find it amazing to be able to meet and become friends with people from other countries and learn about their cultures.
