Martha Luz Depumarejo New York, N.Y. Class Of: 2016
Campus: Manhattan Major: Behavioral Science, B.S., concentration in Social Work
As a sophomore at NYIT and a student in the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), I have been presented many great opportunities. When I enrolled at NYIT, my major was Graphic Design, but I later changed to Social Work. I chose this major because I really want to help people and believe that I would be a great candidate to be a social worker. I came to NYIT because the school provides students with lots of assistance. Whether it be looking for a career or tutoring for a class, NYIT gives you the tools you need to be a successful student and professional.
What I enjoy most about NYIT are the events the Student Government Association puts together to get the students to be more involved on campus. I am a part of the Bear Hug E-board, serving as Secretary, and so far I love it. It gives me more insight on how to run a club and be a part of a committee.
