Jie has marketing, business analysis, reporting and planning as well as managing experience in corporations and public sectors in both Canada and overseas:
- She has worked for British Petroleum for over six years in different roles in the production and marketing sector for BP petrochemical business unit.
- She worked as a marketing analyst for AFG Marketing Research, Vancouver.
- She worked for City of Burnaby SAP Project team which was one of the biggest ERP/SAP projects in greater Vancouver.
- She worked as Plant Controller for North America Tea & Coffee, the main co-packer for Stackbucks in North America.
In order to sharpen her skills and give a symmetrical summary to her previous career, she joined the M.B.A. program at New York Institute of Technology in March 2009. Today she is one of the students who achieves an average GPA 3.9, she is the chairperson for the Student Advisory Board of NYIT-Vancouver, and, under her lead, the SAB has successfully held many student activities like a volleyball match and barbecue with Fairleigh Dickinson University in July 2009, a welcome buffet for Fall 2009 new students, the Asia Gate Way Forum 2009 ,and NYIT Badminton Vancouver Meet-ups. She is also one of the first two students who were selected to enroll in the Leader of Tomorrow program hosted by Vancouver Board of Trade.
In the future, Jie hope to adopt and contribute what she has learned in the M.B.A. program at NYIT to her career and the society, and became a valuable member for all the groups she belongs to.
