I was raised in an intellectual family where everyone was trying to accomplish something more. When I was a little girl, even before I started school, my parents were giving me challenging assignments to achieve. That is the way I learned that working hard to achieve something will result with reward sooner or later. This is one of the reason that I'm goal- oriented person.
When I moved to USA, I had to learn many new cultural habits. This was a transitioning period for me. As of today, when I'm accustomed to the new culture, I'm ready for a new accomplishment.
Giving back and adding value:
Throughout my education I have an outstanding academic record and I was a State University Topper in my Bachelors in Computer Applications and I have participated in many extra-curricular activities and won various titles at national levels in debate , declamations and Flower-arrangement competition . Many of us see this time as a chance to do things you wouldn't get to do otherwise.
At NYIT, I'm pursuing my MBA in Marketing and here you have access to all of these really fun and unique oppurtunities that you wouldn't have elsewhere. The Business practices that I'm learning especially from my professors have been a great takeaway.
My ultimate career aspiration is to become a successful executive in a global company playing a leadership role in customer focused marketing, driving revenues and profit.
On the benefits of trying new things :
So , when I came to NYIT, I thought why not try something i.e completely different and also get the opportunity to be a Student Ambassador and Dean Student Intern. By working, I wanted to make sure that in some small way, I could help fuel that pipeline.
The passion and excitement and anticipation – I fell like I was part of NYIT Tradition.
Being a part of NYIT community means engaging in more ways than just academics. All of those things are important to us to have well-rounded experience. Whole experience embodied the spirit of NYIT. It's all about student involvement and dedication that makes it happen.
