For the past year and a half, I have had my ups and downs at NYIT. I came here fully expecting a heavy workload, hours of hours of studying and neverending homework. I also expected that there would be a lot of students competing against me and that everyone would be too interested in just doing their own thing. However, when I came here, I got nothing short of amazing friends, a great student body, and of course more work than I expected!
In addition, since being on campus, I have become the president of Unite for Sight, a non-profit national organization dedicated towards eliminating blindness. I have come to learn what it takes to be a good leader and have also learned how to handle the pressure of maintaining a 3.5 GPA, working on my club and being an employee on campus. I've spent a lot of sleepless nights studying and working on everything but I do not regret anything that I have done. Throughout all of this, I had a great support system and I am very lucky to be who I am today.
