Healthy Career Bob has more than 25 years of experience as a senior financial executive in the consumer packaged goods industry. “I’ve spent the majority of my career in the business development arena, and I’m proud of the major acquisitions I’ve led, including Smart Balance in May 2007 for a half-billion dollars.”
Everyone Loves a Winner Bob firmly believes that win-win outcomes are entirely possible when negotiating the purchase or sale of businesses. “As a function of my work in mergers and acquisitions, I’ve had to negotiate a lot of transactions—some more difficult than others—but all of them embodied the win-win principle. It takes creativity on both sides to do that, but I feel that’s been a major factor in my professional success.”
Follow Thy Brother Bob’s decision to attend NYIT was based on his brother, Greg, who appreciated the school’s academic programs. “I thought I’d also give it a try—the rest is history!”
Best NYIT Memory “Having a class in Old Westbury that met evenings under the shade of big oak trees on campus. It was a relaxing setting that stimulated much class interaction.”
Last Book Read Super Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner
Definition of Success “Being happy with yourself and gaining the respect and appreciation of your family, friends, and peers.”
