NYIT is a great school. I’ve enjoyed every minute of this school. The teachers are educating and friendly in almost every class. The students are full of energy and encouragement to help you succeed. Being a Computer Science major has been a lot fun here at NYIT. The classes are captivating in terms of the courses related to computers and technology. NYIT also brought to my attention that the Computer Science field is predominately male, something I noticed has changed in the past two years here. When I first started, I was one of three girls in many of my classes, especially CSCI courses. Now that has changed, I’m one of five girls in a CSCI class. Yes, it’s not a big increase but it’s getting there. NYIT has done a lot of good for me so far.
Aside from providing excellent classes and education, I’ve also made a lot of friends and colleagues. By completing my work-study in the Admissions Office, I’ve gained a lot of insight on how a school operates. I’ve learned the process behind submitting transcripts, test scores, applications, and many other important documents. I enjoy going to work everyday, simply because it’s fun. There’s never a dull moment in the office, with Christine my supervisor, Angjela, Marchalee, Donna, and Carol. Also, the other work-study students make the office entertaining as well. These past two years have been wonderful and I can’t wait for the next two years. Knowing NYIT, only greater things will come in my last years here.
